December blur: Li -Chapter One Launch

November was supposed to be the craziest month for us sisters after the October madness.
But fate just had another trick up its sleeves and are we happy about it? Yes! We are absolutely thrilled.
After meticulous planning and scheduling for months and months ahead, it boiled down to two crazy sleepless nights and a final showdown of 7 minutes flat to accomplish what we had set out to do.
And so there we were, gearing up to finish the preparations for the completion of our debut album.
There were photographs to select, last minute changes, drafts to proofread, translations, ah! so much work there was. Well, we split up responsibilities as usual. Some on kitchen duty, some on call and some very busy doing too many things at once and screaming their heads off.
It was total chaos and then add to it the terrible mobile network congestion. You should have witnessed the sight to believe it. Sticky notes everywhere. Interrupted calls. There was such a loud buzz in the air.

The photo-story book-Calendar.
Miraculously, things fell into place. Designs finally decided on. Final proofs read. All okayed. Orders placed.Long emails back and forth and even longer phone convos. Franctic calls to printers. Carriers. Guests invited and intimated. Hunting down potential sponsors unsuccessfully. Some good news here and there thankfully. The waiting began. A long one. The bills arrived. Longer ones.
To cut another long story short, we met Tara Douglas by chance and we stuck to her like glue and got her to share her Animators Stall no. 46 at the Bamboo Pavilion with us. Thank you Girl.
For those who came in late, Tara is an animation filmmaker and she launched her new animated movie, "Man Tiger Spirit" based on the Tenyimia folktale at the Glocal Film Fest during the Hornbill Festival 2011.
The Honourable Chief Minister of Nagaland honours us with his presence and kind words.

The moment arrived and it was a harmoniously synchronised crazy day when it finally happened.
The Launch Edition CDs delivered. The promo poster pinned up. The stage set. The Chief Guest shows up. The waiting Press got their photographs and quick bytes. The Chief Guest said the most encouraging of words and released the CD. We sang our heart out in gratitude, the way we do best and Chapter One was ready to be sold at our Stall. It was a good day!
