So here we are at the latest edition of Hornbill Festival.
Got back from the day's events and getting ready for the week ahead.
Quite a few gigs lined up and lots of special people here in Kohima to show around and plans and plans and some more plans. Wish us luck.
Earlier this year, we finally visited Chennai and Bangalore and we have plans to come back come 2014. Hopefully some trips abroad too.
2013 was action packed as usual in spite of Mercy being away in another city and Azi occupied with playing mommy to our little darling nephew.
Come december and we got to go on stage as a foursome again after a while. And it was fun. Great fun. That's the joy of music.
And Hornbill 2013 kicked started with much fanfare and with the President of India himself gracing the occasion as Chief Guest. We are also celebrating 50 years of Statehood.
The opening ceremony team here put on a riveting display and the cultural troupes put on a great show of the colours of Nagaland as usual, smiling and posing shyly for the many lenses put in front of them. So the good days begin. A lot of things could be better but we are all doing the best we can. If only we can solve the traffic woes….things would be so much easier, because at this rate, it'll be really difficult to make it to more than one venue in a day.
We are looking forward to the indigenous food available at the Heritage Village and at the Night Carnival. A tad expensive they will be but then, that is the price we all have to pay.
And we promise to bring you a few snapshots or a description atleast for the next nine days.
Here's to a happy december and Hiyohey!
