Our first fashion week!

So there we were, three small town girls getting a chance to get an 'up close and personal' peek into the glamorous world of fashion, all thanks to Chali who got us in for the Péro Show on Day 2 of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2012.
And much fun we had once we were inside the hallowed halls. Beautiful people in even more beautiful clothes and accessories and heels. Music and Models/Photographers/Bloggers/Writers/Celebs all moving about gathered at one entirely different universe and Wow! all things glam and glitzy.

We also got a close glimpse of a few of our favourite Indian Models on the ramp and some rushing from the washrooms to the green rooms. And did they look absolutely fabulous???? Chali! get us into the green rooms next time please :)
(trying the puss-in-boots-cute eyes)
We got our own share of eyeballs with our colourful outfits. And met some very lovely designers and their even more glorious creations. We visited the stalls and Chali introduced us to many biggies in the Fashion World and was it fun? :)
The Péro show was awesome and we totally loved the clothes, the models, the music and the shoes and of course, the colourful socks.(sigh!) Post the show, we met Aneeth Arora, the Designer and shared our music with her.

Day 3 of Fashion week, we missed Kallol Datta's show having been caught in the terrible traffic enroute Pragati Maidan; what a blow! but we got the exciting chance to try out some of the Péro outfits and clicked away pictures to glory. We also met fashion blogger Manou of wearabout and he took pictures of us which eventually made it to his lovely blog and of course, a picture for Cosmopolitan too. Yippee!

Day 4 of WFIW, we made it to Rahul Mishra's show and oh! boy it was a beautiful show. Beautiful clothes, models and we loved the beaded head bands (which we have in orange and white ourselves).
More coffee and beautiful people and click-clicks and running into friends. It was like stepping into Alice's wonderland. We also spent some time admiring the Japanese display (Tokyo Fashion Week) and then it was time to get back to our own preparations for a video shoot and a gig.
So off we went, back to our plain old normal lives. But looking forward to more such times. Fashion is such a heady rush and how can one separate music from fashion? And we love to look our best too. Hopefully some time soon we can actually afford to wear some of the lovelies we saw at the Fashion Week or perhaps have more of our own stuff to show off???
Hiyohey to that.
